the pilot is shown being flipped upside down as he soars
God, I hate it when I get flipped. Soaring's good though.

Mach Loop - Sim video

Damn Daily Fail...it isn't exactly what it's like. No G forces, no odour from the onboard oxygen, and the 'series of formation flights' is sitting in the Number 2 position for about 20 seconds of straight and level on recovery to base. Soaring...A Typhoon doesn't soar, that's for gliders, it blitzes down the valleys at the speedof heat and cranks round turns and reefs over the ridges!

Having said that, it is a fun ride and worth looking into if you have a 2for1 offer or similar. Too pricey otherwise.

The video on the Mail website is not a sim, it is the actual video shown in the ride. I think you are confusing "flight simulator" (eg FSX, X-Plane) with "motion simulator," which is what this is, a box mounted on hydraulics with a projector screen.

I hate to go [...around the corner...] because it usually throws me and my pax sideways, both on the ground and in the air. I'd rather bank and turn...when airborne at least!

Can't wait to return to UK to go and take a look at it, though!

Captainsmiffy,

Would you give it a go in a 380? If so can I come along?
