2014

Here's to those serving away from home tonight. To friends, family and those that are missing, kind thoughts and good wishes.

2014 could be a great year if we all make it.

CM,

I share your sentiments - best wishes to all servicemen, and women, who are away from home at the moment. May you all return in good health in 2014. Despite the consequent eroding of our armed forces, us oldies remain fiercely proud of what you continue to do with so little.

(CM, I shall be flying over your location tomorrow out of Bicester!).

Well said Courtney old chap. Very best wishes to all our serving Armed Forces for 2014 wherever they may be. Let our thoughts always be with them and our support unstinting.

I get very uneasy about the phrase "Military Covenant" - seems like a classic PR idea from the Bliar days

we managed for years without it and I don't see why we have it now.......

what is needed is action not words

except its useful for the press to beat on the Govt.

Well said Courtney Mil. Like you, I and my family always spare a few seconds at least every day to hope that our comrades return safely. Lets pray for a great year.
