United Airlines dropped a Clanger....but others stepped up to fix a bad situation.

Bravo Zulu to the USN, USMC and others who did what they did to get this old Sailor to his Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony and honor a Veteran of that tragic day.

Feathers in their caps for those in Hawaiian Airlines who helped Mr Shatz in his Remembrance odyssey, and for those who turned out to welcome him.
Black eyes for United and their jobsworth employees who obstructed him. Never mind the pecking order for offloads, this man should have been placed front and centre for boarding. He earned that United, whether you agree or no.

. . . just hope he hadn't got a guitar checked in . . .

Some airlines just never get it, and having been in several I'm speaking from experience.

Let's see how they talk their way out of this faux pas.

SNAFU but good came out of it as it highlighted the day as many would not remember it.

Also he had a whole lot of people turn up to honour him.
