If the ground repelled ugly things, there'd be an awful lot of women over Scunthorpe...

Anything that has to travel at a great rate of knots in order to fly is inherently dangerous. See diginagain.

Never fly in anything where the wings are going faster than you are.

Mechanical palm-trees are like bumble bees - neither should fly!

The rotor is mostly for cooling the crew; when it stops they all start sweating!

Real aircraft only have one stick to fly - only bulldozers, helicopters and tanks need two!

Why don't helicopters have their blades on the bottom? Because they'd be lawn mowers!

Hovering is for pilots that love flying but have no decent places or mates to go and visit!

Helicopters simply thrash the laws of physics until they simply give up!

...I thank you, ladies and gents, I'm here all week...

Excellent, you'll be able to hook up with your other non-hovering mates who, by definition, are gay!

There I was, a fully trained jet pilot, on the brink of a glittering career hurtling through the stratosphere and dancing with the stars.
Then the aircraft I as on was suddenly withdrawn from service and I was pushed off to be a helicopter pilot.

The Greatest, Most Fortunate, Happiest thing ever to happen in my life.

How does it go?
"If Typhoo put the 't' in Britain, who put the **** in Scunthorpe?"
