Dave B - the funniest remark so far?

From time to time I write articles etc. My proof reader is a 70 year old lady who knows nothing about aeroplanes but whose grammar is immaculate. She sent me this yesterday:

You can’t have a Lightning II. Especially when THE Lightning had a red hot exhaust and was quite attractive and this thing looks like it should come down your street sucking out the drains.

As the saying goes I had to share this with you.

Nah, THE Lightning was an attractive multi-role twin-prop built by Lockheed.

Always wondered why they had a yoke on the Lightning instead of a stick. Wouldn't feel right poling one around on a yoke although they obviously managed.

Mr Farley, Sir,

What a wonderful, and perceptive, lady your proof reader is.

THE Lightning is a vertical twin jet.

Now wouldn't it be amusing if the F35 were to become known as "The Rod" (like Tonka, Tiffy etc.) as a result of this little ditty. So that's Rod as in Lightning Rod or Dyno Rod
