Merlin ZJ130 - Night time landing at Avonmouth Docks 22.8.13

Not the best photo that I've ever taken, but trying to take a photo of an unlit olive green Merlin against a pitch black background isn't exactly the best conditions.

It was a quick touch and go, luckily he stayed long enough for me to fire off a 30 second exposure once the camera had realized there was actually something to focus on (the light on the front came on for just a few seconds, as did the loadmasters torch). Next time hopefully I will get one head-on, with some lights.

Very Nice shot indeed! they may be a pain in the A*se but they do take a nice picture. When I was in Plockton last nov with two Mk2s A guy came up to the gate and asked if he could take some pictures, as he was not on the airfield, there wasnt anything stopping him so he did, sent one back to us and it was so good its now the Mk2 Poster in the office!

Wait one while i try to figure out how to download a picture.
