It wouldn't be the first time a model kit manufacturer has used someone else's imagery without permission...
The Airfix model of Tornado GR1 ZD739 Armoured Charmer featured my air-to-air shot on the box - without acknowledgment or permission. Had they asked, I would have requested a donation to the RAFBF....

The Bahrain interest was mentioned in local (Arab) newspapers on thursday but it had very little detail. Basically it was discussed by the King of Bahrain and the PM during his visit to London last week. No numbers or time frames mentioned, my opinion for what it's worth is that he was just dangling a juicy carrot so we'll restock them with cattle prods etc!
BH, no - I think it was a 1991-ish 1/72 scale model.
Yours looks rather like ZA466 after it was netted by the Saudi tower controller at Tabuk on the night of 18 Oct 1990, when he raised the barrier at the wrong end of the RW....
....not that the RAF Accident Report said so though .

I was on the Barrier Maintenance Crew the night ZA466 hit the approach Barrier. The Saudi Accident report said that ZA466 picked up the lowered Barrier Net with it's nose wheel!

I wonder where the gentleman mentioned in post #1 is these days?
We were on the recce team together in cadets but he always beat me in the annual competition.
It's fair to say our careers diverged somewhat after that!
