Hi Just a small question.
When did ASR become SAR and does anyone know what it will be called when in all (unfortunately) becomes civilian ???

SPIT - I would imagine it will be called "SAR" - just like the highly successful civilian SAR in the UK has been for about the last 30 years... 
What exactly is the point you are trying to make?
As for when it stopped being ASR - about the time they moved from boats to helicopters i think
