It was once customary for the Home Secretary, as a senior member of the Cabinet, to attend royal births to ensure the new arrival was a genuine descendant of the monarch and had not an imposter smuggled in.
Is there any traditional custom relating to new born royalty being presented to the Queen at Buck House, and is there a requirement for the Speaker of the House of Parliament to be officially informed? Again a tradition thing.

Evening all. Just a question of curious interest. I do believe that the RN have been given the order "Splice the mainbrace". Do the RAF and Army have a similar celebratory eqivalence?

3 Heirs in 1 room?
Didn't that last happen at BZN a few years ago when the Press outed Harry for being in Afghan?
He returned to Brize and the Press were only too happy to record his return to the UK to be met by Dad & Bro!
The Press now seem to be denying their involvement in his outing by saying the last time 3 heirs were present happened in the Victorian era!

Apparently he has Kate's Looks.
I can see his Great Granny's ( & Great Great Granny's) wave is already perfected, but his hair is definitely his Dad's!

Cuefaye,
Just an observation or more of a question. You often seem quite bitter. Do you have issues with people here, people that you may or may not know, or am I taking your remarks the wrong way? Just curious.
Regards to all,
M2

I wonder if Kate will take it to Wales for a couple of days
so they can show the Williams work mates.
I wonder if he'll take him for his first ride
in one of the Helos ?

500N ... I'm sure the celebrations have already started ... and a certain F/L will probably find a couple of barrels on his Mess Bill next month
Not so sure on a flight just yet ... anyway good to see he is becoming accustomed to being strapped into a Bang Seat so early
According to the Press ... The print on the shawl is of a "Bird"
Best ...
Coff.

I saw the video and thought it was pretty good.
Only "a couple of barrels" ?
He did seem to handle the seat well, I say get them started early

Just a thought ...
In say 50 to 60 years time, when HRH Prince George of Cambridge becomes King George VII, let's hope we still have a Royal Air Force for him to sign in the top left-hand corner those very special documents containing those very special words ...
Those future Officers are probably at least two generations away from being born
Most of us will be long gone ... although I can think of a few who will still haunt PPRuNe from the "beyond"

Gentleman Aviator
when HRH Prince George of Cambridge becomes King George VII,
..... one has heard rumours that his grandfather (Charles) is not wildly impressed with Charleses 1 & 2, so was thinking of taking George (one of his names) as his title.
After all, Geo VI (aka Colin Firth!) was Albert Frederick Arthur George, and always known in the family as "Bertie". For that matter, his big brother Edward VIII/Duke of Windsor was Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David (all the patron saints - geddit?) and known as "David"

Stop those negative vibes................
Agree with your sentiment - but only those who use carcinogen cooking materials fall into that category!
Surely those of us on gas will last for ever!!
Well at least until George VII (or VIII. or IX!!) is in control!!

The straps should be checked for correct fitting each time the seat is used as the baby will not always be wearing the same clothes and a difference in thickness can affect the strap settings.
