This medal has been found recently, it belongs to, rifleman J Simpson 23960732, 3 royal green jackets, get posting and sharing folks, lets get this back to its recipient.

Found already - that was quick!
Just to let you know that the family of the original owner of this medal have been found and its in the process of being returned to them. Well done to all the former Green Jackets for getting on the case. Good result all round. Celer Et Audax.

Think that Army number is probably 23690732 if the medal is for both Malay Peninsular and Borneo, when the 239s were issued those operations were over by a few years?
Of interest is that Rifleman Simpson would also be entitled to the Pingat Jasa Malaysia (PJM). This award is made by the Malaysian Government and Her Majesty gave permission for it to be worn about 18 months ago. This followed a long campaign by veterans as previously it was supposed to be just a keep sake, although other Commonwealth governments had permitted its unrestricted wear.
