Ah, a surprise leaving gift, the surprise being what colour you got, light blue in my case. Ten Blats from the, er, 10 Blat Shop if I remember correctly.

The favourite trick in Basrah was to set the time to some unearthly hour and then randomly hide one in the air con tubes that ran through the tents before you went on shift.
The novelty soon wore off......

The picture is not enough. Please post the sound. After all, that's what it's all about. Oh, and no excuses about about how to do it. GD personnel are expected to be able to do anything.

Gosh, that picture brings back memories. Do others here remember the COMCEN at Al's Garage (PSAB)? The buzzer to get the duty signals person was the self same alarm! Spooky, especially as I am about to hear these dulcet tones every day for another 3 years!

The suspended ceilings in various areas of R850 were popular places to hide those lovely alarm clocks.

Bodge taped under the wardrobe at Minhad was good too. The wardrobe was emptied by the previous occupant, and was full of the new occupant's kit by the the alarm went off at 0300. (Followed by the second clock at 0400 which was secreted in the rear workings of the communal fridge in the hallway.) Talc on the ceilings fans anybody? Guess we had too much time on our hands.

Well....found a new way to clear the house of Cats!
Clicked on the sound and off the two of them went....at a high rate of speed!

Bought loads as pressies but 'the bright pink one I kept for myself has long been lost - probably deliberately. I do have an Azan alarm clock in an ordinary case which is in the spare bedroom for guests to use.

I had a fetching pink one, which I used in Seeb, much to my roomies chagrin. After a particularly heavy session in the Drunken Duck I awoke to its hideous racket at 0600 and proceeded to try and silence it buy smashing the top, unfortunately the "spike" on the minaret tower impaled my palm and snapped off. Lots of blood.
