Of course, we in the UK don't need a large Air Force because we'll largely operate in support of the Americans. In return, we expect that they'll look after our interests. Clearly we can take comfort and assurance from that thought.

The linked article clearly states that the F15Cs of the 48th FW will continue flying for the rest of the US fiscal year. So no need to worry about the Russians (any more than usual, anyway). It is only the F15E sqns which have been grounded.

From todays RAF Lakenheath web site news, a large truck was stopped and searched near to the base today, the police then later closed the road, no further news, sorry.

I was looking on the web site to see if there had been an update to the April 9th announcement, it stated there was going to be an update on Thursday, but nothing new yet.
