Thanks for the video, its interesting to see how some things have changed and some not. Still see C-130, P-3 and Huey Cobras over Pax. Also the occasional EA-6. The only Corsair and Phantom to be seen are in the museum at Gate 1 along with a Tomcat, X-35 and X-32 amongst others. The steam catapult is still in use but with F-35C and X-47. Weapon Separation Testing continues with F-35 and P-8 but the technology has moved on a bit!

Also still a strong Brit presence at TPS, F-35 and P-8 but definitely no smoking in the Ready Room!

A wonderful bit of nostalgia as Pax celebrates 70 yrs of operations.

Cool its also 70 years of the American Helicopter Society International as well who has a Chapter at Pax River and of high senior flag rank are members

Forgot that one could smoke in a social setting on a base Then again the last time a good cigar was lit up in the officers mess was at Bassingbourn Barracks in 97 when I was a visiting OcDT for a dining in night

The legacy a/c in that vid there of A-6E, A-7 and EC-121 and the CSAR HH-3A hoisting out the pilot floating in the water , OV-10A were legendary

I have to confess I did guffaw, just a tad when the Cobra crew chief was discussing the next trip as a 'hop' as he walked to the helo on crutches minus his left leg...
