Well, its either a heavily airbrushed picture as he doesn't appear to have changed more than his clothing since 1991 - or he has a spooky painting in his attic?

That was his official HQ AIR photograph and could be seen in the foyer of HQ at HWY every day whilst he was XO as well as on the official RAF internet website.
