Tu.144 ... SU-33 ? I think this was the derivative of the SU-27 for Carrier Ops ... but I may be wrong

no, it is me who stands corrected here - I did not spot the little canards; it is a Su-33 indeed.

Actually 'at the start' there are no canards, only in the launch/recovery shots.

Also fold-up everything and twin nosewheels... although now being built by the Chinese as the J-15. Wiki has a version of the story.

You sure its not the new Scottish navy?- isn't it an inverse St Andrews flag at 0:52 and on the chappies sleeves? Isn't the writing in Gaellic?
