I'm sure our American DIY Missile Lamp chap should have a Brown Band down the motor end to be technically correct ?

Better to give it to an ex VC10/Tristar Loadmaster/mistress...complete with Safety Pins and flags..`Remove before *light`
I'd forgotten about that - it was a VC10!

Well they did say remove before flight and that's what she did.. Memory dims but I seem to remember they were 1000 pounders or clusters.

1000lb'ers in the airtransportable state do not have pins. CBUs are (were) flown sealed in rubber bags on ACA pallets so the pins are not accessable in flight.

9Ls is what I'd heard.

The AIM 9 is a Sidewinder. The Sparrow is an AIM 7.
