They've hoovered all the Banana skins out of it since then...
No engines Si. So it's a glorified soapbox cart.

First trip on 14 Jan 91 when it arrived on 56 - on an Advanced radar sortie. Not sure I'd have paid that much for the experience though! At least it's not going to scrap which seems to be the norm nowadays.

Some soapbox cart - this was the first 4-wheeled vehicle I was ever qualified to drive
(I only had a motorbike licence on the road. Oh, and no bananas yet, I was a staggeringly average stude pilot on this course.).
It did an earlier turn on the OCU, I flew it on 4 and 5 July 88

The guy restoring it was once a rigger on XI Sqn. He says in the company blurb that there's a personal connection. I would imagine he had a trip in ZE343 or his name on the side. ZE256 is still on the fin port side.

They should replace the F3 gate guardian at Coningsby with it - both the F3 and F4 there are in a disgracefully scruffy state, partially covered with moss and other stuff

We could always stuff him and have him mounted in the cockpit suitably adorned to add the little bit of realism.
