ATPL Theory training
Hi all,
Sorry if I'm covering old ground but I cant seem to make head nor tail of the new regs as far as a specific question I have. I serving mil RW looking to do both sets of theory exams. I was intending to do the FW exams then top up to RW exams.
I understand that being a current military pilot I can crack on with an ELC claim to start the distance learning package for the RW exams, but what I am trying to find out is can I do the same for the FW ones. I want to make sure I don't have to satisfy any fixed wing hours requirements etc before I try and get started.
I wouldn't ask but I cant get any answers from the CAA, 22GP or the training providers that clear this up.
Any help kindly appreciated.
Regards.

I am doing the fw course with Bristol, no prerequisite for it. ELC paid for £2000 of it with me stumping up the other £1k. AFIK there is some commonality between the two sets so may be worth checking.
