Aerotec NVGs
Gday all
Thought this might be an appropriate place to ask....anyone used or familiar with French AeroTec pilots NVGs (or similiar French products). We use ITT stuff which is in need of replacement/upgrade however this French company just rocked up and suggest we trial theirs.
At first glance they appear to be pretty nifty (albeit expensive) with an advertised FOM of 1800 and black and white image - any advantages of B&W over the more familiar green image?
We will take them for a burn however, any comments from those with experience or knowledge of the product (including after sales support) would be appreciated.
Cheers

I know they were offered up for trial with the Royal Jordanian Air Force's rotary element; of those QHIs that trialled them - to a man - they were not convinced, and the company were shown the door. Discrimination issues, height perception problems at low level (with reducing minilux levels) were some of the concerns raised. Never flew with them myself, so cannot question the veracity of their responses post flight trials - was a quick decision though!*
* I'm sure cost and external influences also played their part?
