RAF Helicopter formation

Just after midday today an impressive RAF formation of a Merlin,Sea King,Puma and Chinook heading NE just south of SantaPod near Bedford at about 1800 ft. Sandringham Party ?

I take it the Merlin was being underslung by the Chinook.

The Puma was fast but weak
The Merlin was smooth and sleek
The Seaking had caught up after a week
The Chinook was at maximum all up mass......cargo was egotastique

Did look good though!

Don't throw too many stones .... I've got a photo somewhere of a Chinook being lifted as an underslung load by a HOOK / HALO
