Why not post every story about the F-35 in this thread about 'More delays for the F-35'? Do we need to comment? No. APA/Goon do not have any credibility except with newspapers wishing to create headlines easily.
Spaz - While JSF program bosses, their paid shills and the amateur fans are totally credible, because they were so right when they assured us from 2008 onwards that the program was going just hunky-freaking-dory, that the Joint Estimating Team could be ignored because they were old fuddy-duddies working with legacy data, that the crawling flight-test program back in 2009 would be at 150 sorties a month by September 2010, and that everything would be just fine as long as the critics would shut up.
Credibility. Sure.

LO, how can you be so ignorant - the evidence is as plain as the nose on your face that JSF will cost $60m apiece, cost less per flying hour than an F-16, and will be in service by 2006.

Since you're attacking APA's credibility, would you mind explaining how they have been less credible, over the past few years, than (say) program bosses before Venlet, Loren Thompson or the various Australian-identified perennial blog commenters who love the F-35?
That, in my view, is discussion, not trolling. And if it be trolling, then I am proud to be under the bridge, waiting for the next fat, crunchy, uninformed JSF fan to come trip-trapping along.

It seems strange to me that the pro-JSF posters here get very annoyed whenever anyone tries to discuss anything that might be construed as even vaguely critical of the project. I thought this place was for discussion and exchange of views, maybe even rumours.
M2 - It's not all the pro-JSF posters, NaB and Engines are pretty much in favour of the program and are reasonable people who don't mind discussion. But there's a claque of mostly Australian* JSF fans who infest a lot of boards and blogs and who aren't interested in any kind of debate.
For example, note how Spaz posts lots of stuff but doesn't answer the question.

Great video and a good boost for the wonder jet. I love seeing pilots enthuse about their aircraft. It clearly has a lot going for it. Of course, he's a company man so hardly likely to bad-mouth it. But I think he is genuinely impressed. It has certainly warmed me to it more.

A crisis meeting
Utopia Talk - Politics - International meeting over troubled F-35
Interesting to see what will come out of this meeting, less planes for almost
all partners probably, plans to buy sufficient numbers maybe somewhere in the future, maybe, if possible, probably, likely, we hope, etc.... .
On the design, test and construction side things remain earily quiet for now,
what happened with the hook on the C version, what about the weight issues, what's up with the HMCS, how are things looking at the software development front, what about the structural issues, when is this thing going to fire the first weapons, what about the IPP and engine core reliability issues, What's being done about the fuel tank pressurisation problem and the fuel dump problems, when is this thing going to be able to do M1.6 without burning its tail, overheating cockpit panels, poor reliability for almost all systems, communication troubles for use up north, etc, etc etc.... ?
So many questions, so little answers and solutions and in the meantime our
F16's F18's and other older planes are quickly running out of available hours
while the oldest systems (eg like computer processors) on the "new" F35 are already obsolete.
