Geoff Leeming - there's a name from the past.
Geoff was at SARTU in 1978 when I went through the SAR/Mountain phase from Shawbury, on the Whirlwind. He was responsible for attempting to teach us the theory and use of the Decca Navigator kit.
Strange thing was, I think I understood it, to some extent. I later found it not so much use on the Puma, at 140 kts it was a bit retrospective, to say the least.
