Exclamation UK Low Flying Handbook: Major Changes WEF 17 Nov 11

This document is unclassified. Some observations following amendment:

Warning, obstruction, & HIRTA data removed, refer to:

https://www.aidu.mod.uk/Milflip/

Danger Area data removed, refer to LFCs & AIP Vol 1

Transit Area data removed, refer to LFCs

Military & Civil Airfield data removed, refer to FIHs

Section 4 now Highlands Restricted Area
Section 5 now PINS, was TFR Trg
Section 6 now Misc, was TVAA
LFS 14c is now LFA 15
TVAA was section 6, now section 2
Addition: SSR & DME locations for JTIDS

So, internet/intranet required now in the planning room with no connection problems. Or a tablet or similar if on the move. And an AIDU account.

Any additional gotchas welcome.

No problem, Seafuryfan. Every service computer system, network, etc, is thoroughly tested and fit for purpose before it is brought into use. All these issues will have been thought through already. Remember JPAC?

And it turns out that even if you have the said computer, connection and account, apparently the data on the website for the ukmlfhb cannot be confirmed as accurate!

Recently some errors were spotted and reported and even the root document is now in question, let alone old cd-rom's or dog-eared out of date paper copies you may have lying around.

Fab system. Let's all just stop low flying.....it would be soooo much easier.

Flying should be restricted to Ultra Low Level trips only... AKA Ground runs... Saves fuel, less dangerous - win, win...
