So LJR, that would have been the Canadair CL-41 (CT-114) Tutor? Where, in Canada or Malaysia?
Or was it the Avro 621 Tutor? In NZ, I guess?

Grob Tutor - I was at 2AEF as a pilot during a tour at Boscombe, taking Air Training Corps cadets on famil flights.
The Tutor was also my taxi to meetings around the country, as it was quicker and more convenient to get to Linton, Valley and Cranwell from Boscombe - rather than drive that A303 and A34...

I wondered how much need we had to train test pilots given our ever reducing military aviation...
