The bravery is unquestioned, and admired, but on the TV reports there were some dodgy berets on a couple of the Paras!

Never went for the "cow-pat" approach with the badge behind the left ear, myself...

The raid

I think an old chum of mine, Reg Winkler, was one of the few survivors from that raid. Fairy battels I recall. Might be inetersting to find out as I have not seen him since we were Flt Cdrs together at Hereford
