I do hope this matter can be resolved quickly but are we really making ourselves “lean and efficient” by allowing the staff of sub-contractors to get such an apparent stranglehold on vital parts of the infrastructure? By the time the main contractor has made a profit then the sub-contractor can such arrangements really be cheaper than keeping this work in-house?
