123 Entry RAF Halton 40th Anniversary Reunion.

Just a heads up that The No. 123 Entry RAF Halton are planning a 40th Anniversary Reunion towards the end of 2013 (with perhaps a smaller practice run before then). If you were part of that illustrious first batch of the Eng Tech A/Ps then PM me with your details and I'll pass on more information. Pete R

123(A)

Not that it applies to me, but what about the even more infamous 123A - I've known a few of them along the way who would definitely do the practice run!!!!!!

Stroke A's

/A's are already included, some of us have been in touch on Facebook for about 6 months or so. Also some of the guys met up at a top table at a secret AT base in Oxon recently.

40 years? My Lord, how the years have flown. Our 50th will along soon.

The 81st was definitely an Entry, the latest reunion is next Wednesday almost exactly 56 years after joining up.

Does the hospital still exist? I was born in it.
No, it has been closed for several years. About two years ago demolition started followed by the construction of over four hundred houses. They're still building but the site is more or less complete.

I wouldn't normally post here as I'm not Service, but your post is a few days old hence my two penn'orth.

FWIW, my grandfather served at Halton in WW1 in the RFC transferring to the RAF on 1.4.1918. He remained at the Camp until 1924 as a civilian instructor.
I was born locally and attended the primary school opposite the main guardroom.

Pete R and the boys of 123.... Enjoy your reunion, we in the 221st have just had ours in March and it was great meeting with guys I had not seen since leaving Halton. We will be back in 2013 for the 40th of our leaving Halton. Min Larkin did us proud and was so much help.
