89th Airlift Wing Question

Quite frequently, the media colloquially refers to what I assume is the pilot of Air Force One as the presidents pilot.

However, I would assume the pilots of the PAG are typed to specific planes VC-25A, C-32, C-37 and C-40. As opposed to a single group of presidential pilots receiving type ratings/training for all of the fleet.

Am I correct?
