The guy was on the Today programme on Radio 4 this morning briefly chatting about his experiences and no doubt getting in a little free plug for the book

Couldn't place his accent - anyone know where he hails from, or is it blindingly obvious from his nickname?

1. OK, so it was blindingly obvious - so whence the Jockinese first and surnames? (Jock dad, French mum?)

2. What's a waah?

TTN

Situation: We are stood in front of a Tornado [even better if at an airshow with a sign saying 'Tornado'], and I said 'That's a Typhoon isn't it' [ie: deliberately wrong],

If you replied 'Is that a Wah?' [ie: are you winding me up?] then I'd smile and say yes.

If you started to correct me [on something so blindingly obvious], Id say 'Wah'.

Seems a little childish, but it does fill a crap day waiting for something to happen.
