591SU & Tac Comms info req

My son is looking at RAF Trades at present, and influenced by a book he is reading asks the question: "What trade is OC 591 SU likely to be?". Likewise which commisioned trades would be employed on Tac Comms?

Sensible answers appreciated and I am sure the answer does not lie in the sticky at the top. Likewise when advised by myself that in the present climate he may as well look into civvy street, I got a firm "You have to be in it to win it" reply, which you cannot fault for attitude really; especially as like many others, his education decisions have all been based on a perceived route to a Typhoon cockpit.

Happy with PMs, and I will delete the thread when I get the answers.

TCW is now part of 90 SU - here is some background reading.

RAF Digby - 591 Signals Unit

Officers are of the Eng (CE) branch / specialisation.

Engineer Officer - Engineering and technical careers - RAF Careers

Airmen are mostly from Trade Group 4 and are either Communication and Information Systems Technicians or Operator Maintainers.

Appreciate the comments & PMs. If anybody has been there and done it and has a constructive opinion, your thoughts would be most welcome. I am not on a fishing trip for anything vaquely classified so generic thoughts about the day to day work regimes. Enter eyes wide open and all that.
