Blunty type admin question!

What address do you use for your employer when asked on an application, ie for a mortgage?

PSF at your unit? (An SAC at mine had no idea!)

HQ Air, High Wycombe?

SPVA Gosport? (As stated on my P60)

Any ideas?

If I was still in, I would use OC Admin Wing under a 'Private and Confidential' heading.

He would be in the best position to decide which of his staff could supply the answers requested by the mortgage company.

I would think the officer above you in the reporting chain should be the first choice.
Of course. you should give him/her prior notice.

I recall using the Paymaster General for us Army types. I think this function has now been taken over by SPVA.

Have them send it to either your Chf Clk or PSF at your unit - it is a standard type letter that goes back confirming your salary.

I wouldnt send it to OC Admin or OC PMS as that will just slow the process for you - SHQ doesnt get the name "Handbrake House" because of the NCOs in it!

Just heard back from PSF, who reckon that any pay related query should be forwarded to SPVA at Gosport.

So, there you go, lets hope it's correct!!

I work in Handbrake House and I get them reasonably often. As has been said before, there is a standard form we send back where we fill in the detail from JPA, unless the mortgage company is asking something weird, in which case I'd phone you and ask you what you wanted me to put down. It's quicker than SPVA/OC Admin/BSW etc and you can have some input into what you want me to send back.
