Mother of all P1ss Ups

Two parts to this thread:

Firstly, with weeks to go, can anyone from ISK shed any light on the closing down sale party? For those of us not living in Moray who need to sort flights, dodge OOAs etc, has any dates been set in concrete yet? Proj O, final dinner?.....

And on the subject of p1ss ups for everyone else. There must be some very entertaining stories from the end of the 'V' force, Lightning, F4, Bucc, Jag etc. or even events from the closing of Binbrook, RAFG, Colt et al.

Any offers?

and a merry Christmas to all with best wishes for 2011 (and best of luck too)

When Shiney Ten disbanded at Cottesmore they wrote XV (the other sqn) is Bums in white paint on the Mess garage roof. They were told to paint it out which they did with black paint. The garage roof is NOT black and it was clearly visible 30 years later and, who knows, may be even today.

When Shiney 12 disbanded at Cottesmore in '68 one of the crews loaded the bomb bay with toilet rolls. They achieved a direct hit on the sqn hangar (shared with IX).

Even then the Humour PTT button failed to work.

Nobody knows when the camp is closing , im sure it will become apparent in feb when they decide the redundency package but one thing is for sure , the North Sea is going to have some top notch engineers joining them soon.
