Mona tower

Just looking at a friend's house on Anglesey on Google Earth, and I notice that the old WW2 tower building on Mona appears to have been demolished. Is this the case? If so - why?

Why not? Was it serving any useful purpose or was it a listed building? It has probably been long gone, Google isn't that up to date anyway.

It was demolished in 2006. A replacement tower was built around 2004.
