Royal Mints new BOB Coin
Second World War Battle of Britain Base Proof Coin
No wonder we won The Battle, after all according to the Royal Mint we we flying Lowback cannon armed Spitfires, with individual exhaust stubs and what appears to be seized engines..............
Ahh nothing like getting it right.... or should that be wrong.
at least they didn't put a ME-109 on it I suppose

NutLoose, did you try http://www.royalmint.com/ContactUs/full_details.aspx ? They would perhaps be interested to know that this coin does not represent a Battle of Britain aircraft.
Attention to detail most certainly IS important!

NutLoose, I would point out that the cannon equipped “b” wing entered service during 1940. No.19 Squadron used it during the battle of Britain. so it's not as wrong as you make out.
barnstormer,
I know it's a cliche, but you owe me a new keyboard, coffee everywhere, including down my nostrils.....
Funniest comment I have read in a long time (but maybe I have a perculiar sense of humour) - thanks for making my day!!
