GR4 Force to reduce to 18 FE@R by 2015
This link - Transparency | Number10.gov.uk has some details on the MOD plans for SDSR implementation. In it it notes that the GR4 fleet is to reduce to just 18 FE@R (down from 40 at present) by 2015.
So, a 50% cut in deployalbe numbers, I'm guessing this means a future Tornado fleet of roughly 50-60 a/c at best?

Just as interesting is the sentence "Accelerate Typhoon Force growth and increase multi-role capability".
So, more Typhoons for the RAF from Warton instead of overseas customers??

I see that all TriStars are to be gone by Apr 2013. I guess the last few years of Op Herrick will see troops marching ino theatre through the Khyber Pass! I suppose it was good enough in Kipling's day.
Good to see a healthy focus on irrelevant boll*cks while cutting 25,000 jobs.

4.4.iii. Identify the key areas of Defence where the application of the principles will produce the greatest improvement in performance Apr 2011 In progress
4.4.iv. Identify a supporting behavioural and governance change programme Apr 2011 In progress
4.4.v. Monitor the delivery of defined programmes Apr 2011 Jan 2015 Yet to start
Never mind staffing the delivery teams properly - we have to identify a supporting behavioural change programme for sustainable development. I think the words I'm looking for are Utter Wanque.

In the course of doing some research earlier I noted that the Hurricane went from first flight to 200 delivered in just over 3 years! Mind you there were signs of a war being imminent!
