Post Remembering Keith Richards

A number of PPRuNers will remember Keith Richards, who sadly died earlier this year from cancer. During his RAF career he flew in Canberras, Victors, Tristars and VC10s.

During the next week Keith Filbey, who was also diagnosed with cancer during the last year but, following treatment, appears to have beaten it so far, with his wife Anne, plan to walk the Cotswold Way, raising donations for the Sue Ryder Hospice in Leckhampton, where Keith(R) received caring and dedicated treatment during the last months of his life. They aim to raise £25k.

A number of Keith(R)'s friends have already made generous contributions towards this. If anyone else would like to do so, donations may be made at Virgin Money Giving | Fundraising | Sue Ryder Care Leckhampton Hospice

KR, like myself, was a Victor nav radar on 214, and KF's name appears several times in my logbook. Like KF I'm a cancer recoverer myself, so I wish him all the best on the 4th and hope the appeal goes well.

Thanks Wholigan!

Should anyone be keen to take advantage of this fine weather, I am sure that they would also welcome support from fellow walkers. If anyone would like the itinerary, please PM. They are going South to North.

Many thanks for all donations received thus far.

Excellent news indeed! Modest chap that he was, 'Druid' would be rather chuffed to know that he had so many friends willing to show their support for such a worthy cause.

Congratulations to Keith and Anne for their outstanding effort - truly inspirational!
