Tracing WRaf and WW2 pilots
Dear All
We are making a short film about our local church. Two seperate headstones refer to:
Fanny Amelia Kennaird. WRA. 7396. 14/1/1919 age 21
Sergeant Derek Francis Banfield, 27th Sept 1944, Age 22.
Any info. regading either of these two would be greatly appreciated. Wewould like to be able to bring their stories back to life.
Best Regards

Commonwealth War Grave Commission site (cwgc.org - always a good place to start) gives only the bare facts for Fanny, but adds for Derek:

who died age 22
on 27 September 1944
Son of Walter John Banfield, and of Dora Frances Banfield. of Wadhurst.
Remembered with honour
