I heard the RAF hadnt reached its CO2 emmissions target for this year so sent the jet up to fly round and round for ages.

Or perhaps, it was holding?

To parachute a quick reaction team of paratroopers to take out this gunman if they find him. Sorry best reason I could think of

It's back again today.
I didn't realise those winglets produced such big vortices! I must be getting old and emotional. I felt quite whoozy and docile after it passed over.

  1. Sits back...

Or it could have been holding for Emirates to take off.

Thanks for the info Sir Herbert, however this was after 7pm. I have known Awacs, Hercs & Nimbats to be overhead and the odd Tristar, so I suppose it was possible it was just on a support mission.

There are reports of it working various airports up and down the east coast of Scotland.

You have to forgive them, all we normally see over Newcassel is Queasy jet, and, at the moment, a lot of "bears in the air"

My point exactly. With the demise of the Nimrod, I was just wondering if this was in anyway helping out the "Newcassel" police.

As a Newcassell polis I don't see how.
I saw it from my window do a couple of circuits then bugger off, presumably to land, as soon as the afternoon Emirates flight took off.

As a polis... one would hope you had been briefed on MACP.

I guess they dont trust you.

Given that my last briefing on the latest events was 'watch sky news' I think it's fair to say they don't.
Never mind eh?

You would hope that the C-17 could cope with a quick trip to support an exercise then be turnned around for crew training afterwards.. Is that possible. I can't beleive such an asset would be left in jockland for one flight a day!
