Requesting a fly past - is it possible?
Thinking laterally, depending on where the big day is you be able to persuade on of the private pointy jet operators to route via your wedding if they are re-positioning to Cosford or some other event that w/e? Suggest you give the nice chaps at Duxford and Kemble etc a call to see what their plans are for the day. Let's hope its not chucking it down.
Why? Are they coming back into service? Better get hold of XV299 quickly then
I once held contact on Russian SSN for hours whilst the ASW frigate and all its little helos failed to find it! See we have all got stories like that.
And yes 1SL and 2SL put up a strong defence of the MR2 fleet last year; did you not know that? Oh dear not as "in" as you might like to think.
Sorry, thread creep

anyway....too much thread creep.....
as previously mentioned, the best bet is to publish the Lat / Long or Grid position as well as the time you expect to walk out of the chapel with your new lady and see what happens.

Far better to organise beforehand IMHO.
Drain Bamaged
Google Grace Spitfire ML407.
Just buy her a smaller ring!
To your future wife, not Carolyn
The Grace Spitfire does a large number of Birthday, Wedding and Celebration private displays.....
In a 50 mile radius of Cambridge, for instance, the price would be for a 10 minute aerobatic display between £2,300.00 to £2,800.00 plus VAT and CAA clearance fee of £100.00 for a private display

Getting back to the thread.....
I can understand why you would not want to put the L/L on here but a general idea of the area would be useful. I presume you're getting married up north (as that's where you say you are) but an idea of the nearest town might help others decide if it's feasible. You never know, there might be someone transiting on a Friday afternoon or some SH on their way for some tasking (unlikely!).
Give it a go and see if there's any progress.

About 3 years ago my neice was getting married on a saturday in Horsham. At the reception what I think was the BBMF Lancaster came wandering past in the distance. Lovely sound anyway
Then 2 weeks later at a friends daughter's wedding , another saturday, we were just taking photos outside the reception hall when the red arrows came wizzing past virtually overhead and very low.
Have you thought of looking at the air show schedule and rearranging the date and time and location of the ceremony to catch something transiting between displays?

Flying Cop, Many congratulations to you and the new Mrs F-C.
Hope your day went well and somebody flew past at the appointed hour.
Do tell us all about it when you get back from honeymoon.
Best wishes
