Taken from the 'top deck' of the eastern harbour pier looking towards the cliffs at the base of Whitby Abbey. Not there at the time; but I do know the area very well. It is a great area for fossil hunting if that is your thing; but knowing the tide times is a vital part of your days enjoyment..!!
