FAA promotions

The FAA promotions signal is due about now. Is there a link to it? (Not in London Gazette or Navy News On line)

The Lt - Lt Cdr & FTC(A) signal is always released on the last Thursday of February at 10.00 Local time ( Apart from this year when it was leaked to a Danish ship on Wednesday afternoon which meant that it came as no surprise to many people).

The signal went live on the intranet yesterday morning. It will be some time before the Gazette catches up.

Aren't leaks for the Navy dangerous? I always thought they were water tight?

Exactly. It just goes to prove that you can be on the PA spine and get promoted.

I have always thought that the Senior Service's way of producing a promotion signal was a great idea, giving people a non-appointer (manning for us crab types) filtered appreciation of where they stood in the great order of things and a chance to make a realistic assessment of their standing amongst their peer group and likely chances of further advancement.

What I find strange therefore is that RAF manning refuse to do the same, citing 'data protection' issues.

Hmmmm...or is this a case of 'knowledge is power'?!

I don't have access to the signals at the moment so I'd be grateful if anyone could post a link to them please?
