Military Flying Clubs - Beds area?
Hello,
I am a serving TA Officer. My "other job" is flying a business jet, and I also still hold an FI(A) instructor rating. Would I be allowed to instruct part-time at a military flying club? If so, are there any within striking distance of the Beds area?

There is also a Volunteer Gliding Squadron at RAF Henlow. As they fly Grob 109b (Vigilant) motor gliders you might find a home there. I met some of their instructors at last year's BoB Reception, and ISTR 2 or 3 with a similar background to you.
Their (under construction) web site is here:
616 VGS Web Site, which has a contact email that might be worth trying.

Trimstab, if you're interested in the 616 option pm me and I can give you contact details for the OC! Bare in mind that the only 'snag' with this option is the conversion and categorisation process, which may prove to be more hoops than you want to jump through. That said, 616 is a good organisation and the flying is very rewarding!
