Oldest military airfield.

Could it be Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey? Loaned by the Royal Aero Club to the RNAS in 1910?

Dunno...........................

The oldest airfield resides in Farnborough where, in 1905, the British Army's Balloon School was formed. The oldest military airfield operates out of Netheravon, first opened in June 1913 and, in the following year, used to train those Royal Flying Corps squadrons who would be sent to France at the outbreak of First World War.

RAF Northolt has been operational since 1915, so has to be a strong candidate.

1913? A mere youngster. The RFC Central Flying School was established at Upavon in 1912. I believe (if you count the Air Training Corps as a military organisation - it certainly seemed like one when I was marching around, firing Lee-Enfield .303 rifles and so on) it has been in continuous service since.
