Increase of payments under Armed Forces Compensation Scheme

In October last year, we asked you to give your views on the Armed Forces Compensation scheme. The results of that review have been published today.

You can read a news story about the announcement here.

The full report is available to download here.

This was posted by the Ministry of Defence.

So does the increase get met through the "existing" defence budget or from new money, or does the whole lot get paid from a different pot? I'm not suggesting in any way that the guys don't deserve every penny and more, I was just watching the Beeb earlier and their story of increasing casualties in Afghan and thinking of the mis-match between dwindling resources and requirements.....

Very good news indeed and, although not unexpected, very nice to see.

Well done CGS
