Tip of a Hat to a Soldier!

To set a Guinness World Record is one thing.....to do it by running a Marathon in full battle rattle is another.....and to raise money for Wounded Warriors Charity all at the same time is especially noteworthy.

A fantastic effort, well done.

Meanwhile in the UK a claim that up to 30% of British forces in Afghanistan are unfit to serve on the front line.
BBC News - Today - Unfit soldier figure 'closer to 30%'

Stumpey.
I am not sure if you are missing a point here.
A high percentage of the army are not fit for combat after serving on the front line, and not before they get there.
This is not generally a problem of being overweight, it is mostly through injury/illness in combat/theatre!
I would hope that you are not scoffing at the ability of the many soldiers who are now missing limbs after combat, and are thus unfit for combat (but are still in the army and on the books).

As for your comment
'A fantastic effort, well done'
I could not agree more!

Blimey... wearing a bomb disposal outfit as well?

That's some achievement... decidedly eccentric, but a heck of an achievement.
