Multi Role Fighter - I thought a fighter only had one role. Whether it operates off a ship or land doesn't change it's role.

It sounds like the fighter equivalent of the Great Wall truck the Chinese are trying to flog here in Australia, cheap and nasty.

Maturity of the J-10 family and China's Flanker copy would explain Japan's long interest in F22 or possible Typhoon inclusion to JSDF's line up.

They're based on old Isuzu and Nissan designs, I understand the Chinese have bought a number of old dies. Remember we were all very disparaging of Japanese vehicles not so many years ago.
