Caller ID Malr is all well and good but to reduce the chance of answering the phone too hastily without looking I find that allocating the Benny Hill theme tune as a ringtone to all work related numbers very useful!

Good attempt by the Op DC controllers. Called out to do EMA/CVG. 6 hours in hotel later, about to set off for US Airways CVG/PHL/MAN taxi combo. Should get home middayish 25th!

Thoughts with all those in hot/sandy/nasty places away from home and families.

DH

I'm driving home for Christmas......

cornish-stormrider,

I used to know somebody who used the theme music from Mission Impossible as the ringtone for work related numbers.......if that's any help?

I left because post-democracy (hmmm, not really democratic .....) it quickly turned into a steaming pile of the crap that is symptomatic of the Dark Continent ills - incompetence, nepotism, thuggery, racism, et-bloody-cetera.
Mr Bernoulli - you'll be having a certain feeling of deja vu then in 21 Century UK - sorry, not very festive, but someone was going to say it sooner or later. Hope you make it back from Sausage-side in time!

Personally, I've always had the theme tune to the Muppet Show as my work's ringtone. It has alwas seemed suitably apt!

Merry Christmas to one and all,

SVK

And then there was QRA on new years eve. Three crews comfortable settled into chesterfields watching telly and at midnight the traditional 'first foot' by the Staish with a single can of beer for each.

One individual leaps to his feet and slurs 'Happy New Year Boss!' before collapsing back into the armchair. He had been quietly sipping from a supply in his car boot all evening.

Ever try to find a sober replacement at 0030 on New Year's Day?

A merry and peaceful Christmas to everybody and to those away on ops or away from your loved ones, thank you and may your day be incident-free.

Get everything next year from Amazon. They even put the presents in stuff they call "Wrapping"!!!!!!

When she sends the complete rubbish you got her back, they give you a credit and you can then buy yourself a fine fishing rod in the sales. Simples

The theme to Fawlty Towers does me well for work numbers.

As for Op Deny Christmas. I seem to remeber most of mine were off in the mob. Try working for an airline!

But a Merry Christmas to all those away from home while defending what's left of the British Empire.
