Talking Ice Cream Boys, are you scared?

Hey 99SQN you scared to bring your nice new shiny toys to the North? Here at Ice Station Zebra (EGPD) we get to see all sorts for practice diversions, but we ain't seen a Globemaster yet. Chicken?

VC10s, C5s, Starlifter, B52, more Tornados, Nimrods and Jaguars than you can shake a sh*tty stick at. KC 135 + 10 F15s did a fly by once. Only last week we had an Albert parked up outside. Reckon you are frightened they will get wet or something.........

Judging by the time it took them to get out of RIAT perhaps they're now a tad embarrassed to block your v.busy(!) airfield's taxy pattern.

I was pleased to see this morning that the local SAR boys were happy to land AND shutdown here at ISZ.

Another type to add to Buzz's roll of honour! (Or spotters notebook )

PS Any Mil crews operating near sunny Shetland are always welcome for PD's at Sumburgh....just give us a few minutes notice for us to clear it with TWR!!! Doing approach radar from over 200 miles away means an awful lot of telephone co-ordination!!

Thumbs down

Slow out of RIAT !!! I think not...

Ask those trying to get a certain E3-D past a shiny white Timmy about why it took them so long!

Unfortunately, everyone else had to wait in line. Once cleared, C-17 backtracked and was gone in no time.

Balls to the wall!
