What a top man he was and a fine example of what the ATC was really about - flying and the RAF. On top of that he had a policy of every cadet going for the Duke of Edinburgh award, which was a no brainer when you think that the ATC syllabus pretty well covered the requirements all the up to gold.
Finally a special mention to the staff from 2520 ( Tonbridge) Sqn ATC in the 1980's the " Tonbridge free airforce" who again were only interested in getting kids flying - epic stuff and thanks for all the help
