Question Wessex formation in Hampshire

Yesterday afternoon I happened to be driving down the A303 (or more precisely, at about 1810Z I was around 10nm E of Middle Wallop)when looking approximately South towards Winchester I saw something that (from a bit of a distance I'll grant) seemed to be a 10 ship lose formation of Wessex Helos?. .. .Just being nosey, but I'd be fascinated if anybody can divulge what that was all about?. .. .G

They had just gone past Yeovil at around 1700. Chicks coming home to roost eh, nice to see them go though.
